POZ Review: Polar Bear Club - Live At The Montage
propertyofzack: A live album is an interesting concept. New record releases entail a certain amount of surprise and sonically-perfected material. Live shows tend to provide an ambience of unexpected twists on familiar tunes with a bit more volume than fans would get through a pair of headphones.  For well-versed and new fans alike, Polar Bear Club’s Live at the Montage will bring together the...

The way I find I memorize lyrics to songs is when a really good line sticks out.  Eventually, the lines around it stick, until the whole song does.  Enter Everything You Ever Loved by Make Do and Mend.  Every.  Fucking.  Song.  Multiple lines.  This album is perfect.

Title Fight on playing Warped Tour, etc.
There’s definitely been a crossover with the community you’re a part of this year. Can you talk a bit about that with the bands and labels that are out here this year? I can’t really explain it, but it’s weird seeing the lineup for Warped Tour and a lot of my friends’ bands are on it. Just getting an issue of Alternative Press and every other page is someone I’m friends with. It’s weird because...

So many bands I never gave a chance before are inspiring in ways I couldn’t have imagined.  I used to spend time listening to all the shit that was coming out these days and just get so frustrated with what was popular.  I’m ecstatic to find a scene full of talent and amazing lyricism thriving, even in a smaller setting.  I think I prefer it that way.

[[MORE]] As I get more into writing again and my music taste gets me more curious about the current scene, I simultaneously get more jaded.  I feel like it’s going to be time to fully commit soon.  Here’s to hoping.

Holy shit.
Life update.[[MORE]] For one year, I lived with my friend Jeremy.  In June, our buddy Mitch moved in with the potential for Jeremy to move out sometime in the next couple months.  Everything seemed fine. One week and one day ago, Jeremy called me to say he’d be moving out that day.  He’d continue to pay rent through August.  That gave Mitch and I a couple months to get shit figured...
