The way I find I memorize lyrics to songs is when a really good line sticks out. Eventually, the lines around it stick, until the whole song does. Enter Everything You Ever Loved by Make Do and Mend. Every. Fucking. Song. Multiple lines. This album is perfect.

So many bands I never gave a chance before are inspiring in ways I couldn’t have imagined. I used to spend time listening to all the shit that was coming out these days and just get so frustrated with what was popular. I’m ecstatic to find a scene full of talent and amazing lyricism thriving, even in a smaller setting. I think I prefer it that way.

As I get more into writing again and my music taste gets me more curious about the current scene, I simultaneously get more jaded. I feel like it’s going to be time to fully commit soon. Here’s to hoping.

For one year, I lived with my friend Jeremy. In June, our buddy Mitch moved in with the potential for Jeremy to move out sometime in the next couple months. Everything seemed fine.
